[시사뉴스 정문균 기자] 국립부경대학교(총장 장영수)물리학과 학부생 김현우 씨(3학년)의 논문이SCI급 국제학술지<Journal of Alloys and Compounds> (IF: 6.37)에 실렸다.
김현우 씨는 이 학술지에 논문‘Hydrogen-mediated manipulation of luminescence color in single-component Eu doped CaYAlSiO4 by defect passivation’(지도교수 이승훈)을 최근 제1저자로 게재했다.
A paper by Kim Hyun-woo (3rd grade), a physics student at Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-soo), was published in the SCI-level international journal <Journal of Alloys and Compounds> (IF: 6.37).
Kim Hyun-woo recently published his paper "Hydrogen-mediation of luminosity color in single-component Eudoped CaYAlSiO4 by perfect passivation" as the first author in the journal.
In this paper, Kim presented the results of a systematic study on the changes in fluorescence properties by hydrogen effects in oxide phosphors to develop white phosphors with high efficiency and stability.
He recently conducted a study on the effect of hydrogen impurities as the oxygen vacancies of oxides greatly affect fluorescence properties amid research to improve the efficiency and stability of oxide phosphors due to growing interest in energy and environment.
Oxygen vacancies are unintentionally formed by chemical reduction processes to observe hydrogen effects. Kim experimentally proved changes in fluorescence properties due to hydrogen effects, not oxygen vacancies, by producing samples substituted with other elements in oxide phosphors to prevent oxygen vacancies from forming during hydrogen treatment.
Professor Lee Seung-hoon said, "This study is expected to help research various functional oxides as well as develop high-efficiency phosphors by understanding and controlling the fluorescent properties of oxide phosphors."
The study was jointly conducted by the first author, Kim Hyun-woo, and corresponding authors, Professor Lee Seung-hoon (Physics Department) and Professor Oh Joo-hyun (Academic Cooperation Group).
Kim Hyun-woo said, "I started my lab life as an undergraduate quickly, so there were some shortcomings, but I think I was able to achieve good results with the help of professors and seniors."We will continue to research together and make efforts to share knowledge and achievements," he said.
